Capitán Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club y Nebraska han obtenido seis candidaturas cada una, Her y El lobo de Wall Street 5 nominaciones, seguidas de Philomena con 4 y Blue Jasmine y El Hobbit: la desolación de Smaug con 3 nominaciones. La presencia española en la edición de los próximos Oscar lleva el nombre del realizador Esteban Crespo, que ha sido nominado en la categoría de mejor cortometraje con Aquel no era yo.
