Trayectoria: Nace en Manchester con el nombre de Damon Cough. Empieza a grabar tras su encuentro con Andy Votel con el que lanza el sello Twisted Nerve. Ya con el nombre de Badly Drawn Boy saca diferentes Ep’s y Singles. En 1997 le invitan a formar parte junto a Richard Ashcroft o Thom Yorke de U.N.K.L.E. con los que publica el LP Psyence fiction. En 2000 la discográfica XL Recording le ficha para publicar su álbum de debut, The hour of bewilderbest, con el que consigue grandes críticas y el prestigioso Mercury Prize. Nick Hornby le pide que ponga música a la adaptación de su libro About a boy (Un niño grande). En 2002 publica con BMG Have you fed the fish y en 2004 vuelve con Andy Votel para la grabación de su último trabajo, One plus one is one.
Un par de álbums: The hour of bewilderbest y Have you fed the fish. El primero por su minimalismo y experimentación y el segundo por ser su mejor trabajo.
