El 30 de julio se lanzará una nueva caja de Aretha Franklin que abarcará toda su carrera. El conjunto, que reúne la mayor parte de su contenido de su célebre década con Atlantic Records, estaba programado para su lanzamiento el año pasado.
Aretha, que incluye 81 pistas recientemente remasterizadas y abarca desde las primeras canciones de Franklin hasta sus grabaciones más recientes, contará con versiones alternativas de algunos de los mayores éxitos, demos o actuaciones en vivo. El set también incluye el CD y los debuts digitales de varias apariciones en televisión, incluyendo duetos con Tom Jones (It’s Not Unusual / See Saw), Smokey Robinson (Ooo Baby Baby) y Dionne Warwick (I Say A Little Prayer) Finalmente, la colección completa rarezas como su versión de Someday Will All Be Free de Donny Hathaway de la banda sonora de Malcolm X y su asombrosa interpretación en vivo de Nessun Dorma.
